Clive Chamberlain, FCA

Clive qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Baker Tilly’s Guildford office, and post-qualification, developed his interest in tax practice.  During his time with that firm he was involved in a wide portfolio of clients including substantial overseas entities in the Unigate PLC Group and the UK business interests of Astra PLC (now part of Astra Zeneca).   In addition he acted for a number of large professional partnerships. 

Clive joined Bessler Hendrie as Tax Partner in 2000.   He heads up the firm’s tax advisory and compliance services, encompassing advice to corporates, individuals, and trusts.  Clive has considerable knowledge of VAT, particularly in relation to property investment companies.  He retains a portfolio of audit clients, with a significant emphasis on property and solicitors practices. 

In his spare time Clive is active in local countryside matters and has a long standing interest in the exploration of the UK’s Inland Waterways.
